WHAT’S WITH THE APOSTROPHE ?

The Name MAST’ references a slang Neapolitan term that means “maestro” or “master of one’s craft,” we are proud of the way we do things a little different than other Italian restaurants in the city.

MAST’ first started making waves in the Boston Italian scene when we opened up the restaurant in October 2014. Since then, MAST’ has been featured on several news channels and magazines, including the Phantom Gourmet, NESN’s Dining Playbook, and The Improper Bostonian, being crowned the Best-Kept Secret in Boston in the 2015 edition of “Best of Boston”. MAST’ has been given numerous awards for specific items on the menu, including having the Best Arancini in the city, along with having the best dessert pizza, dubbed the “Pizza Golosa”, topped with Nutella, strawberries, and housemade whipped cream. MAST’ also plays host to many different business events and fundraisers in our downstairs lounge area, perfect for any type of private event or business gathering.

At MAST’, executive chef Riccardo Passini has brought his Extensive background and food knowledge to our kitchen. After mastering the art of food in Italy, he moved to Boston to help flourish ‘MAST into what it is today. Every morning, the kitchen hand makes nearly all of its pasta to use throughout the day, including hand rolling gnocchi and make pappardelle pasta from scratch. Additionally, all the desserts are made from scratch as well. Chef Marco Caputo  features a number of amazing pasta dishes, such as Fettuccine con capesante which as quickly become one of the most popular items on the menu , Bucatini all’Amatriciana served with Pancetta & Pecorino Romano, and an Italian favorite Cacio e Pepe .

with this new menu we want to have a dish for everyone from vegetarians to meat lovers as well as those  adventurous eaters with dishes like the venison ravioli or the Quail Risotto .

The pasta is a must get while enjoying a dinner at ‘MAST!
